Lindsay McAfee is a Tax Partner with Deloitte Tax’s Multistate Tax Services practice in San Francisco, CA. As a sales and use tax professional with nearly 16 years of experience in state and local tax issues, Lindsay excels at translating nuances of developing law into polished, innovative, and reliable tools that exceed the expectations of clients. Lindsay specializes in complex sales and use tax issues related to online marketplaces and virtual assets such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs, as well as issues in the retail, software, and high/emerging technology industries. Serving a variety of global companies, Lindsay has assisted clients to improve their processes at all phases of the indirect tax lifecycle including tax collection, mapping and validating proper tax treatment of product categories, sales and use tax calculation and compliance, audit defense and controversy, mergers and acquisitions, planning and structuring considerations, and ASC 450 reviews. Lindsay frequently speaks on state and local tax matters, and is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT), the American Bar Association Tax Section, the California Bar Tax Section, and Women in SALT. She is the author of articles in The Journal of Taxation, The Tax Advisor, and State Tax Notes, and is a licensed attorney in both California and Iowa.

Faraz is a Partner in Deloitte’s Tax Technology Consulting practice (“TTC”) and has extensive experience in business transformation projects with a focus on data, process and automation needs for Tax. He leads Global ERP Tax integration projects, with a key focus on aligning the tax technology infrastructure with our client’s tax/finance strategy and process requirements.  In addition, Faraz helps lead Deloitte’s indirect tax market relationship with various technology vendors including innovation and feedback on product development.

Faraz obtained his B.A. in Accounting from Ohio Wesleyan University and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the state of Colorado and Texas. He is also a Certified Implementer for ONESOURCE Determination.
