COMPLIMENTARY WEBINAR
Overview
April 20, 2022 12 PM CST

Hosted by Thomson Reuters

Summary
According to the 2022 State of the Corporate Law Department report published by Thomson Reuters, the three top priorities of legal departments (efficiency, safeguarding, and effectiveness) have not changed over the years. And when investigated at a more detailed level, these priorities reveal that the typical department today is positioned as more of an organizational cost-center than value-center.

However, this is not as much due to the specific priorities as it is due to the approach toward them. For example, when legal departments more proactively address risk management, then their perceived value within the organization rises. And when the law department measures their performance across a broader spectrum of metrics—including customer satisfaction, for example—then this also helps shift the perception of the law department from cost-center to value-center.

In this webinar, we will explore these priorities in greater detail and provide an action plan to help you move your law department from a cost-center to a value center.

You will learn:
  • Legal spend benchmarks to enable you to compare your business to competitors’ and evaluate your spend levels and allocations
  • Evidence-led advice on how to optimize your department’s performance and deliverables
  • Peer insights collated from other corporate legal departments across the world to inspire innovation and transformational change
  • And more . . .
